Elided

Find the longest word moving left to right. Each day has three rounds. Every round is a line of 16 letters hiding one word that's longer than any other you could spell there. Tap letters left to right to spell a word. They don't need to be adjacent, but order matters: skip as many letters as you like, but never go back. The rows read as one line, so a word can run from the end of one row into the next.

• You get four guesses per round. Any real word of four or more letters counts.
• Find the longest word to solve the round. Otherwise the tiles you used are marked as in or out of the answer, so each guess gets you closer.
• A word the dictionary doesn't accept, or one you've already tried, costs nothing.
• The answer is a common word of seven or more letters, and you're never told its length.

Solve a round on your first guess for three stars, your second for two, your third or fourth for one. Your day's rating is the average of the three rounds.

• Everyone plays the same puzzle, with one ranked attempt per day.
• A new puzzle arrives at midnight your time.
