LinkedIn games: all eight, and where to play Queens, Tango and Zip unlimited

LinkedIn has eight daily puzzles, from Queens and Zip to Pinpoint and Crossclimb. What each asks, whether you need an account, and where to play them unlimited.

LinkedIn has eight daily puzzle games: Queens, Tango, Zip, Mini Sudoku, Pinpoint, Crossclimb, Patches and Wend. Each gives one puzzle a day, and LinkedIn's help page says anyone can play, member or not. Four of them are grid logic puzzles that other sites rebuild with no daily limit, and those versions are below.

The first three, Pinpoint, Queens and Crossclimb, arrived on 1 May 2024, reported at the time as a way to bring members back every day. The lineup has more than doubled since. Alldle lists six of the eight, each on its own page, next to the unlimited and themed versions people have built around them.

What are the LinkedIn games?

Four are logic grids: Queens, Tango, Zip and Mini Sudoku. Two are word games, Pinpoint and Crossclimb. Patches asks you to complete shapes from clues and Wend to trace words through a letter grid. All eight reset once a day, so everyone who opens one gets the same puzzle.

Queens

The grid is split into colored regions. Place a queen so that every row, every column and every region holds exactly one, and no two queens touch, not even at a corner. It plays like a small Sudoku without numbers.

Tango

A grid to fill with two symbols, suns and moons. Each row and column needs as many of one as of the other, and no more than two of the same may sit side by side.

Zip

Numbered dots sit in a grid. Draw one continuous line that visits them in order, starting at 1, and passes through every cell exactly once.

Mini Sudoku

A 6x6 Sudoku: fill every row, column and shaded region with each number once, on a board a little more than a third the size of the classic 9x9.

Pinpoint

Five words are revealed one at a time, and they all belong to one category. Name it with as few clues as you can manage.

Crossclimb

A word ladder in which each word differs from the next by one letter. Answer the clues, put the answers in order, and the order unlocks the clues for the top and bottom rungs.

Patches and Wend

The two newest. Patches is a shape puzzle: complete every shape in the grid using a set of clues. Wend is a word search with a rule, connecting letters into hidden words and using every letter exactly once. Neither has a page on Alldle yet.

Can you play LinkedIn games without an account?

Yes. LinkedIn's help page states that members and non-members can both play the games, and points to a guest mode for doing so. Alldle's listing for each of them says the same: no LinkedIn account is needed to open today's puzzle.

Where can you play Queens unlimited?

Queens on gridpuzzles.app is the closest match: the same rule, one crown in every row, column and colored region with no two touching, and unlimited puzzles in three difficulties. Three daily versions keep the rule and change the pieces, and one changes the idea entirely.

  • Meowdoku puts cats in the colored regions. No two cats share a row or a column or touch diagonally, and there is no arithmetic and no guessing.
  • Puppy Hideout hides one puppy in each row, column and region, a new board every day.
  • Queens on Puzzlune is the plain daily version, queens and all.
  • QueenSweep is the odd one: find all eight hidden queens from number clues, closer to Minesweeper than to Sudoku.

Where can you play Tango unlimited?

Tango on gridpuzzles.app serves 6 by 6 sun and moon grids with the row, column and adjacency rules of the LinkedIn game, and no daily limit. Tango Unlimited pairs a daily puzzle with, in its own words, unlimited games, hints and a playable archive.

Is there a Zip unlimited?

Yes, several. Each of these keeps the one-line, numbers-in-order rule.

  • Zip on gridpuzzles.app draws a single line through every cell, visiting the numbered markers in order while avoiding walls, as many times as you like.
  • Zip Game Unlimited is a practice version with waypoints, walls and timed levels.
  • Zip Game offers a daily puzzle and practice puzzles side by side.
  • Zip on Puzzlune keeps to one path a day, filling every cell.

Mini Sudoku, unlimited and daily

Mini Sudoku on gridpuzzles.app has unlimited 6x6 boards across easy, medium and hard. Mini Sudoku on Puzzlune sticks to one a day: every row, column and 2x3 box takes the numbers 1 to 6.

Pinpoint and Crossclimb, for word people

LinkedIn Pinpoint Unlimited Practice replays Pinpoint-style puzzles: clues are revealed and you guess what they share. LinkedIn Pinpoint Practice keeps the five clues and one category, with a practice mode beside the daily. Do not confuse either with Pinpoint on Hemiscope, an unrelated geography game in which you slide a mystery country onto five scales such as population and area.

Crossclimb has no unlimited copy in the catalogue. The nearest relatives are the word ladder games, and anyone who likes Pinpoint's hidden categories will find the same itch scratched by the games like Connections.

More grid logic puzzles

Queens, Tango, Zip and Mini Sudoku belong to a bigger family. The grid logic category holds 108 of them at the time of writing, from Shikaku to Hashi, and the unlimited games page gathers every game in the catalogue that has no daily limit.
